Steps
- Measure the length and width of your plastic bin
- Mark 1 1/2 inch above the bottom
- input the dimensions into this plaster calculator
- Weigh out the plaster and water into separate containers
- Use your fingers to sift the plaster into the water container
- MAKE SURE you SIFT the PLASTER INTO the WATER
- Let it slake (sit) for 5 minutes
- Mix the plaster
- Use the cordless drill and mixing attachment and mix for 1 minute
- Alternatively you can use a spatula and mix the plaster for 5 minutes
- DON’T MIX TOO AGGRESSIVELY as you DON’T WANT to introduce air bubbles
- Spritz the rubbing alcohol on the top of the plaster and the bubbles should pop
- Don’t use too much rubbing alcohol
- Slowly pour the plaster into the bin up to the line marked, making sure to our onto one wall of the bin so that the plaster doesn’t form any air pockets
- Gently tap the bin several times to make sure that all the air bubbles have popped or come to the surface
- Spritz the rubbing alcohol one more time
- Let the plaster cure for half an hour
- Optional
- Pop the plaster out of the bin
- Clean up the plaster if you need to using a metal rib, loop tool, and/or sure form
- Place the Shelf Liner in the bin
- Add water to the plaster until it is damp and there is a little bit of standing water
Clean up
- Let the plaster set inside the pail.
- Once completely dry start to crack the plaster by flexing the plastic.
- Throw the plaster into the trash DO NOT POUR it DOWN the DRAIN!!!
