Materials Needed
- Scissors
- Underglaze Transfer
- Wet, leatherhard, or bisque surface to apply transfer to
- Sponge
- Bowl of Water
- Sherrill Rib Yellow Soft Rib
- Needle tool
Instructions
- Take your slab and decide what transfer you want to put on it.
- Cut out the appropriate size design from the transfer for your piece
- Place transfer on piece
- Put sponge in water container
- Squeeze all the water out of sponge
- Sponge the rice paper transfer
- MAKE SURE to hold the transfer in place and GENTLY use the soft rib to keep it down
- Use the needle tool to gently lift the piece of paper up by one corner
- Lift it up slightly and look to see if it starts to transfer
- If it doesn’t transfer repeat steps 4-9
You can technically use the transfers on bisqueware but a lot more difficult to get them to adhere and get a good transfer.
